“He loves me, he loves me not.” What hopeless romantic hasn’t ever picked the petals off a daisy to discover how their sweetheart feels about them? This classic conundrum comes to life on Margot, the first Christophe Claret complication specifically developed for women.
Margot’s automatic winding movement features an innovative complication that lets the wearer ‘pick’ the petals off a daisy on the dial. With each press of the pusher at 2 o’clock, a crystalline chime resonates and a petal – sometimes a pair of petals, it is impossible to foresee – subtly disappears under the dial in a smooth action, perfectly depicting the delicate undressing of the flower. The eagerly-awaited answer (in French) appears in a window at 4 o’clock.
Debuting at Baselworld this past spring, Margot has been preselected by the jury of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in the Ladies High Mech category, the award for which will be presented at a red-carpet ceremony on 31 October, 2014.
The first versions of Margot, in diamond-set white or red gold, are now being delivered. Already available in boutiques in the United States and Hong Kong, Margot will soon be gracing all official Christophe Claret retail partners.
For the second time, Christophe Claret will participate in the International Watch & Art Salon organized by Swiss Prestige in Taiwan (16-19 October, 2014, Bellavista Taipei, B1 Art Gallery) and will showcase the Margot, Maestoso, Poker, Soprano, X-TREM-1, Kantharos, and Baccara timepieces.
