Born in April 1950 in the Périgord region of France, Jérôme de Witt is the son of Her Imperial Highness Princess Marie-Clotilde Napoléon and Count Serge de Witt. After a varied career in sectors as diverse as wines and spirits, construction, vintage cars and finance, Jérôme de Witt decided to fulfil his dream of owning a watch manufacture.
In 2003 he set up a small company in Vandoeuvres, before deciding to build a manufacture, which would open its doors in Satigny-Meyrin in 2007. Jérôme de Witt, founder of the DeWitt brand, is closely involved in the creation of his distinctive watches, particularly those featuring the famous ‘imperial columns’, a tribute to his ancestors.
Today, Jérôme de Witt manages the company hand in hand with his second wife Viviane, who was appointed CEO in 2012. Before joining her husband Viviane de Witt was owner and manager of a Paris auction house.
