Four Swiss film projects have been nominated for the Filmmaker Award by the Association for the Promotion of Film in Switzerland, which was founded by film director Marc Forster, IWC CEO Georges Kern, the directors of the Zurich Film Festival Nadja Schildknecht and Karl Spoerri, and the CEO of Ringier, Marc Walder.

The non-profit organization’s activities centre on the presentation of the Filmmaker Award. Swiss filmmakers were able to enter their cinema projects for the first time this spring in a bid to win the CHF 100'000 prize.

The award, which is intended to give a boost to the Swiss film industry, was presented on September 26th at the IWC gala evening during the Zurich Film Festival, by Oscar-winning Austrian actor Christoph Waltz.
