“Look out for plenty of news from some fruitful discussions at the SIAR in Mexico”
After the fanfare of Patek Philippe’s 175th anniversary subsided, a number of other anniversaries were covered on WorldTempus last week, from the tenth anniversaries of Louis Moinet and Dior’s Chiffre Rouge model to the 125th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower and Girard-Perregaux’s mythical La Esmeralda pocket watch. Miguel Seabra also gave us some insight into a more poignant anniversary, marking 43 years since the passing of Jo Siffert, the first Heuer Formula 1 ambassador, and taking the opportunity to offer a potted history of the TAG Heuer Autavia model that has forever been inextricably linked to the racing driver’s name.
We will have a lot to tell over the coming few weeks after some interesting discussions with the top management of brands attending the SIAR show in Mexico. Both the show and its visitors enjoy an excellent reputation in the industry, which explains the presence of many CEOs in Mexico City, who come to engage with – and show their appreciation for – the nation’s increasingly well-informed watch aficionados.
Last but not least, we are delighted to announce that the list of WorldTempus partner brands continues to grow. Our latest partner is Laurent Ferrier, whom we welcome this week with an in-depth portrait by David Chokron.
