A movement between the Two World Wars from the 1920's to 1930's created an eclectic and influential visual arts design of rich colors, bold geometric or curves shapes, and lavish ornementation called Art Deco. The new collection Bedat & Co captures the essence of women, inspired by exquisite artworks of Art Deco artist, Paul Kiss: a table lamp in wrought iron and alabaster and a wrought iron and marble console table.
Applying the design of wrought iron on the dial of References 316, 384, 827, 828 and Extravaganza 887 further enhances the aesthetic view of Art Deco spirit of Bedat & Co timepieces with the volutes of flower petals, graced by diamonds and precious stones.
The Reference 828.040.M04 comes in a 36,5mm stainless steel case. The bezel and crown protector, set with 151 diamonds, surround the black mother-of-pearl dial unfurling sensuous applied opalin arabesques. The blued Bedat & Co hands point to 6 diamond hour-markers.
The watch is animated by a mechanical automatic movement powering the hours, minutes, seconds and date and offering 42 hours of power reserve.
It is completed by a rolled-edge hand-stitched alligator strap with stainless steel folding buckle.
Slightly different, the Reference 828.060.M01 features 66 diamonds on the bezel and crown-protector and a white mother-of-pearl dial.
