The Vague de Lumière watch truly depicts the relationship between Boucheron and Art. This reinterpretation of the Hokusai wave is created with a wonderful mix of materials and paving – white gold, diamonds and aventurine. The dial’s aventurine glass gives the watch a profound elegance to create the perfect illusion of the ocean’s abysses or a sky full of stars. Regarding the extreme detail of its design emphasised by the brightness, she succeeds in the complex challenge of modern naturalism.
The 41 mm polished white gold case is set with diamonds, double gadroons on the side case and beveled horns and is engraved "Pièce Unique 1/1" on the exhibition caseback. It houses the automatic caliber GP400 manufactured by Girard Perregaux. The timepiece is completed with a a blue "rembordé" (folded edge) alligator without stitches with a pin buckle in white gold set with diamonds.
